Yemaya. The ebb and flow that connects us all.

The ocean has been following me for some time. Or maybe it’s me following her. I do live on an island. She is everywhere. You know? She’s a major character in my life these days. I find myself drawn there, to meditate, to dance, to play, to get insipred.

When Maïa asked me to create this for them, they described it as their hand partially submerged in the ocean. It made me think of the feeling of having your hand held by someone you love. That sense of safety, a reminder of connection.
