2023. In which a snake sheds its skin and becomes a river. Drawings, film, performance and mas reflecting on personal transformation, self expression and femme sexuality in the context of Carnival in Trinidad & Tobago.
2022. An interdisciplinary, social practice work that uses tattooing, performance and storytelling to facilitate healing and to explore the impact of colonialism and slavery on the Black Diaspora’s relationship with the land.
2023, WIP. Using tattooing to explore themes of connection and belonging, pairs of participants are invited to receive tattoos that relate to each other. Operating as a thread that connects the two, each tattoo is an abstract, completed form which shapeshifts when placed next to another tattoo.
2015. This work features anonymous interviews with Black police officers, and weaves together tv audio, advertising footage, video game footage and documentary photography to investigate the intersections of race, power and play within the context of the NYPD.
2016. A documentary photography series created while taking public transit along the East-West corridor in Trinidad. This work was created during a period of personal transition from one space to another: moving back home after living abroad for four years.
