Still wrapping my mind around this news! Super excited to share that I’ve been commissioned by the National Museum of Wales to create a work that challenges traditional colonial narratives and that centers Black joy, healing and liberation.
This commission is a part of a wider project at the museum to reframe the legacy of former Governor of Trinidad, Sir Thomas Picton, and has been awarded to myself and Laku Neg, a UK-based collective of Trinidadian artists.
Can’t wait to tell you all more about this project! ✨ Catching my breath and giving thanks.
You can read more about this commissioned work from the National Museum of Wales and on BBC News.
